Baker is close to topping out on One River North, a unique mixed-use development in Denver, Colorado. The 16-story cast-in-place building will feature a 10-story canyon that cuts vertically and horizontally across the structure鈥檚 facade. Inspired by the mountain ranges on Denver鈥檚 horizon, the canyon will include walkways, water features, and native plantings. To better understand the intricacies of the structure, Baker鈥檚 building information modeling and virtual design and construction specialists created both digital and 3D-printed models of the project. The 3D model helped the team visualize the shoring requirements for the cut-out area, which varies by floor. The 343,000-square-foot structure is on track for completion in 2023.
